For those who live and breathe chocolate

It notes in here that folks are eating smaller meals more frequently and that the less-is-more philosophy is embodied in this device.

Bacon-wrapped french toast Stonehenge

I think of this as a tribute to my UK friends, their history, their traditions.

Lemon tarts with white chocolate chips

Only 100 calories! Lemon curd (Specs in Austin), tart pie shells (Central Market) and white chocolate chips (Randalls). No cooking, either. Mmmmmmmmmmmm-yum!

Marmite in beef stew

Added some Marmite to this beef stew MJ made. Also had some on this corn bread. I'm a fan now. Yum!

Bacon as gateway drug

The money quote:

First, know this: Eating bacon is nothing more than sampling a gateway drug. To experience the full rush and complexity of flavor, take a taste from a slab of raw, pure fatback. The thin slices of fat glow in a shade of bright white normally associated with wedding gowns, and each bite dissolves into a creamy consistency that sends the body into a euphoric state.

Super toilet unveiled (not gross)

I found this oddly relaxing.

Oh, and fear not! It's all good, clean fun: no poopy stuff of any kind.

Thanks, Chuck!

More pork brains

Here's a couple guys eating pork brains in milk gravy (PB/MG).

There's a woman who uses the image of PB/MG to curb her appetite.

Here's a guy who makes it clear that PB/MG does not refer to the current CPAC conference for political conservatives.

I ate haggis in Scotland recently, along with mashed potatoes and turnips. The plate is referred to as: haggis, tatties and nips locally (Edinburgh). I also had blood sausage there as well. It really wasn't all that bad and was no big deal.

I wonder about the cholesterol and such of gravy and biscuits that they serve all over rural America? How much different is it than PB/MG? Biscuits and gravy does lack the stomach-turning imagery of PB/MG, but we're talking pork grease, sausage "crumbs" fried to a crisp, flour and milk—all of which is poured over Crisco-laden biscuits.
